« The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed. » (Lk 4 : 18)

Since december 1977, the Spiritans in Pakistan have been working with two minority and marginalized groups, primary evangelization among Marwari Bheel Hindu tribal people and parish ministry among Punjabi Christian community. Variety of ministry is unlimited : inter-religious dialogue with Hindus and Muslims, catechesis, health ministry, development projects, primary education, youth formation, theological formation of laity, leadership animation.

Our Priority?

According to our Rule of Life (SRL chapter 2), we give preference to an apostolate that takes us to:

•  those who have not yet heard the gospel message or who have scarcely heard it;

•  those oppressed and most disadvantaged, as a group or as individuals;

•  where the Church has difficulty in finding workers.

Our mission in Pakistan is a long process of apostolate where we need a lot of patience « The signs of a true apostle were performed among you in all patience, with signs and wonders and mighty works. » (2 Co 12 :12).
